What we do

Types of bushwalking

Day walks

Our club undertakes day walks which usually start within a 30 minute to 2 hour car drive from where most members reside. The walk leader will usually organise car pooling if this makes sense. We walk for about 6 to 8 hours, depending on the terrain, walk grading and location.  Members are required to carry certain gear for safety. See What to bring.

Multi day walks

We have many overnight walks (2 days and 1 night), usually over the weekends.

We often have longer walks, anything up to 7 or 8 nights out in the bush.  These walks can be both on and off track, and can involve camping in designated camp grounds or known camp sites or completely off track virgin campsites.  These walks are graded for difficulty, and for some walks numbers will be limited. Members are required to carry certain gear for safety.
